The Saint Andrew Society for Beer Enjoyment meets to discuss the issues of greatest import to alcohol preservationists: mainly malted hops, and their singular role as both the cause of and solution to most of life’s problems. The Society furthers the understanding of all that beer has to offer humanity through regular, rigorous testing, all for the betterment of mankind.

Meeting this Wednesday at Big John's Bar
Between work commitments, getting ready for the birth of my son and watching Scotland dog it in the Six Nations tournament week after week, things have been busy. So, I apologize for the short notice on this month's meeting.
We'll meet at Big John's Bar this Wednesday at 6 pm. Barbara Baron will give us her thoughts on Guinness in the widget can, Richard Laurence Baron will take on Texas Independence Ale, and Rob Schoenbeck will arm-wrestle another favorite Texan, Lone Star.
Typically, I just swing by Spec's on the way to the meeting and see what strikes me for the month's samples. If anyone has any nominations, please use the comment function below this message to share your thoughts on which beers should be included. I already have one of the three figured out, thanks to Peter's suggestion at the rugby match yesterday.
Here's more information on the very conveniently-located Big John's Bar- http://www.bigjohnsbar.com/
